The Principles of Animation
There are 12 principles of animation that every animator should know. I
will be briefly going over these now;
Flipbook
A flipbook is a book, notebook, or various paper stuck together with a
series of drawings that depict a scenario happening. Each page a new scene is
gradually drawn, so that when the pages are flipped through very quickly, it
appears to be animated.
These were mostly used by children, but can also be used by people of
any age as a cheaper alternative to flash and other animations, as all you
really need to create a flipbook is a pencil and a notebook.
A finished flipbook can look like this:
For this to work, each drawing must be filled out on the next page.
Storyboard
For most animation, it helps if you plan each few images in a scene,
this is called a storyboard.
